Thanks :D
I'm a re-enactor so my sergeant-major would yell at me if it was too long!

The trousers came as they are seen :)
Although the back had been let out about an inch (original alteration, not by me)
Lucky as I'm usually too tall for old trousers
Thanks

Here's a couple more taken a month or two ago
That's my friend Sarah too
We go to forties shows together
The chairs are CC41 as well with a matching sofa
(shame about the modern plugs! lol)
I'll try and take some more photos of the others, but here are a couple of mine: -

Here is a picture of my Dad's 1943 Royal Enfield 'Flying Flea'
Used in the War in Arhnem most likely by Glider or parachutists during Operation Market Garden. These were designed to be parachuted and were lightweight motorbikes.
Here are a couple of me on my Dad's other bike a 1941...
Here are some scans I found in a book about the life of Winston Churchill,
These are circa 1908 and show the same uniforms as mine, captioned as ‘Levee Dress’
Wow, amazing pictures
I'd love to reproduce 1930-1940s clothing one day and its always good having sources to like this to gain ideas of styles, especially since I'm English and it's good to see slightly varying styles from America
Thanks for posting it
Black Fleet Air Arm trousers :)
(Lt-Cmdr's and lovely and warm wool! The WW2 reefer Jacket is a lot nicer than the modern ones made out of flimsy light-weight fabric!)
Unfortunately I don't know anything about the owner,
but it would be amazing to find out,
I wonder whether I might be able to contact the Diplomatic Corp via their website and find out, I'm sure they must have records,

Here's one of my favourite uniforms from 1925!
(I bet it's seen the inside of many-a royal function and venue!)
Please post any more vintage uniforms from before WW2 - from khaki to polka-dot!
Apologies for bad quality photos, done on my phone!
I've been after an original suit with wide lapels like this one for years, but until now, I either haven't seen any that are my size, or that I can afford (although, I am still young I suppose!)

:)
Just...
Thanks :)
I was just saying today how friendly everyone is here,
It's great when everyone has a common interest,
Everyone looks Dapper, from Civvies to Khaki!
Thanks,

My Dad got my Grandad to go through them (sadly not long before he died) and write a page (based on his diaries he kept) for each page of photos :)
They are somewhere in Holland I...
Hi, I'm not a member of a group, but I do go around shows with my some of my friends who are interested too.
I really like this forum, everyone seems so friendly and helpful towards others :)
Also, I want to wear 40's clothes everyday in the future once I have enough to go ahead with it
:)
