I must admit that's difficult for me to be sure of. It does look somewhat uneven, so I'd guess it's hand stitched, though.

Here is shot of my grandfather in the what 1920s? I am just trying to get the age of the pic from the clothing.

cookie, going by the narrow-ish trousers it's most likely early to mid 20s.
however, not everyone (especially older men) would be wearing wide trousers after 1925, so it could be late 20s-early 30s.

I actually think Prince George looks quite good here. The trouser length doesn't feel that wrong to me when they're cuffed.
