1930s French Black Fedora Large 7 to 7 1/8

Full description to come. This is a black felt fedora from the 1920s or 1930s. It fits like a large 7 (I wear 7 L.O. and it's a bit loose on my head) or a small-ish 7 1/8. Has a wonderful "shark gill" ribbon bow treatment.

Unlined, it has a label stating "Aux Galeries Lafayette" stuck to the felt, which you might know is a rather old and rather exclusive shopping destination in Paris.

More to come (pics and measurements) tomorrow. I'd need to get £40 for the hat.

Crown: 4 3/4"
Brim: 2 1/2"
Interior: 7 13/16" x 6 3/16"
Circumference (approximate): 22"

There is some minor mothing around the very edge of the brim at the front left. Like a moth larva crawled along the edge of the brim, taking chomps out as it went. Might be wise to trim or rub down with fine sandpaper. This never bothered me, but i realise i have a high threshold for these things. As always, the Brosson box is not included in this sale. The hat is tentatively dated to late 1920s, but it could be 1930s.
