Nikki, I did a little "surfing" and the value of your bills depends on several things. Do they have folds in them? Are they dog-eared? Any tears? Serial numbers are important,too. I Googled "1935 dollar bill value" and found an extensive amount of data. Check it out. Oh, yes, '35 was the year I was born so you might dust for fingerprints on your bills - mine might be on them! lol

Now, the things that really do in a bill are uneraseable markings (pen, inked stamps) and torn off corners. Those'd be worth maybe $2, I think.
An uncirculated bill (no creases) would be worth $10-$13, I think he said.
If I can get him to write his own response, instead of overloading me with verbal information, you'll have a more concrete answer.
