This may be an old story to some - it was first published a couple of years ago, clearly, but I only chanced across it today while searching Google for something else... Couldn't find a thread on this, so I thought it worth starting one.

The thrust of the story is that a kitbag lost behind enemey lines by a British soldier in Egypt in 1942, turned up in 2007 and was returned to his family. Among the items in the bag were letter from both girlfriends he had on the go at the time! (Begs the question whether he later married one of them and has been posthumously found out!!).
