Diving with the dolphins in the Red Sea near Eilat, Israel - 2016
Very cool! I have had the same experience back in 1988-1989 when I was stationed in the Sinai with the Multinational Force & Observers (MFO). Diving in the Gulf of Aqaba is a great memory.
The fun never stops ...
My true love for 50 plus years. Boston, Mass as William Dawes with my Percheron (Grant). The only thing that stopped me was a replaced hip. ARGH!!
From last month, the annual Independence Day Parade Color Guard. This was my fifth parade. It was great fun:
The $11 Resistol At anchor in Scow Bay off Mitkof Island in SE Alaska.
Berner Oberland, Switzerland. Me, in my safari jacket and long-billed Hemingway cap. A bit eccentric, what ho? My wife says my biography should be titled "Fifty Shades of Khaki."
Damn, what a view! I've always wanted to see the Alps.
Longin' for Longboat.....
Hope to be back on Longboat Key 'fore long. Especially when it's freezing up north!
Living on the edge.....
Chatting with the folks back home in snow country.
Standing on top of the Pinnacle of the Blue Ridge in the vicinity of Mount Mitchell in Western NC.
Great spot Big Man. I live that entire area.
I love the keys. Relaxed, easy-going, and unpretentious. There was a time in my life when I had actual dreams (in my sleep) about returning to the keys. That top shot about sums it up.
Last Saturday... hiking to see two waterfalls. São João Fall and Formosa Fall here in Santa Catarina, Brazil
Yesterday mountain hiking and sunset.
Wow, Fabio, great hat! Great look. Stunning location! I’ll have to check that out on Google Earth.
Great back drop for showing off the boots.
One of my fellow Fedora Lounge members who knew I loved history and often hiked along trails originally put in by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) back in the 1930s, gave me this CCC commemorate hiking staff medallion. Today was the first chance I got to use my hiking stick since I put the medallion on. As I walked along with that hiking stick with its new medallion, I thought about all the conservation work done by the CCC all those years ago and that people are still enjoying the trails and facilities put in by the hard work of the CCC.
Having a little fun today in the snow with my '27 Bugatti (kit car).
