Good morning gentlemen,
I was hoping to enlist your help on possible hat choices for me to wear at my wedding. The wedding will be in Silverton Colorado (an old western mining town near us) at 11k ft elevation and the sun can be rather oppressive for the folliclely challenges such as myself. We have found a nice felt wide brim hat in white and dried flowers to match her bouquet for the brim. The problem I have been having is finding a suitable style that works well for me. I am wearing a dark forest green 3piece tweed suit from Walker Slater, Alden Shell cordovan dress boots, a fitted ****e shirt with French cuffs, my grandfathers cufflinks, and my great grandfathers railroad gold pocket watch and chain. I have attached a picture of me in the suit before it was tailored to bring up the sleeves, a picture of the boots, and a few pictures of the location. I’m hoping to match the historic feeling of this place without appearing super dated. (A weird juxtaposition I know)
Hats I have in my consideration so far.
Stetson open road or stratoliner.
Panama Hat with a medium to wide brim.
Some sort of tweed flat cap.
Thank you for the assistance!
P.S. suggestions for ties would also be appreciated.
