Alexander Hats

Has anyone here heard of a Alexander Customized Hats?

From the one hat of theirs I saw, it looks a lot like a Dobbs. I
don't know the age of it, but I was just curious. I know there
is a store in NC. of the same name, buy do they make there own
hats there? and are they any good?

Earlier Ownership was G.W. Alexander but acquired by Stetson. I believe that slogan was during the Stetson period.

Very nice hats, thanks for posting them. So how do they compare with other hat companies? Are they on-par with hat companies like Lee or Knox? Did they come in both Wool and Fur Felt?

I did end up purchasing one of them from an eBay auction, and I'll post it when it arrives on my doorstep.

I really like this Alexander Ainsley. That is one nice looking hat.

Open Road style Coronet. Would not have know it was Alexander made. But Robert's example above shows they are. Nice heather look to the felt. 3 cord ribbon.

Age of a company does not necessarily translate into a hats age. The general construction of the hat is what usually tells a general time range of the manufacture date

I get that, of course. Somehow, I thought the company was out of business or taken over by the 60s or so but now I'm not sure where I got that idea.

Another decent company long gone since the early 1960's. Occasionaly you will find one on Ebay. They were in Reading PA.
