I found another Vic and Sade radio show from the 1940s in which Vic is hoping to get away with wearing a wide-brimmed hat. By claiming he won it in a bet with a co-worker. A bet about who could tie his shoes faster.
But Sadie won't stand for it, telling him, "When you wear a wide-brimmed hat, you look like a wild west cowboy who was stepped on by an elephant."
