Any NAVY Reenactors around here?

Do we have any WWII Reenactors who do a Naval impression? I'm supposed to be "in character" as one of Halsey's subordinate admirals for an event this summer, and I'm stuck for ideas about where to get the cap.

I should note that I'm going "dirty shirt" khaki as favored by WestPac officers rather than "dress whites" (I look terrible in white, so the fact that much of Task Force 38 favored khaki is a break for me).

Thanks!

Coming up with the right "scrambled eggs" might be a chore. As a last resort, you can always wear an overseas cap with appropriate rank attached. Plenty of photos to support that.

LOVE my "Mc Hale's Navy" khakis!

So far, I'm seeing around $125 for complete caps, plus another $15-20 for a khaki replacement cover--was wondering if any Bull Halsey Fangeeks or other USN specialists might know of anything less costly but tolerable quality.

There is always the garrison-cap... just means I'd have to order an extra set of four-star insignia, or "demote" to a three.
