I took my father to Optimo this weekend, since he's been talking about buying a straw hat for weeks now. While he picked out a gorgeous Milan with a 1 5/8" brim and feathered band, we perused some things Optimo hopes to offer in the coming months. Graham is planning to offer a line of linen hats this summer and we previewed a gorgeous, luxurious black mink flat cap.

Optimo is sooo overrated. There are numerous hatters sprinkled across America that can best that Hat Factory in Chicago.

Thanks for link to the article. I've been hoping for a chance to get to Chicago to visit Optimo and order at least one hat. I personally favor a soft fur felt fedora with a tri-dent crown and a broad (3 to 3.25 inches) raw edge brim and was hoping they could accommodate me.
