Amazing piece of history but not an attractive design to my eye. Even at $250 I wouldn't buy it,

As with most of life there is a difference in Quality; leather Jackets no difference. This Block Bilt is the Good Wear, Aero, BK, Buzz, etc of it's day. And in it's day as today they were expensive and probably out of the reach of most folks, much like today.

As stated above the death knoll of leather is the effect of the environment over time. Very difficult to control for all those factors hence few survive in this condition. The leather on this jacket looks superb. Seams/threads can be re-sewn, but leather fatigue can not.

Most everything has a risk old or new. I don't think this jacket has condition issues. The pictures are pretty well done. I'm thinking you could get this seller on the phone and all condition/return issues worked out. I may even talk to him.

his is worth much more than any of the reproductions out there and they're asking 1500$ to 2300$ so I would say this jacket could be worth around 3000$ easily in my opinion.

I see it that way too. At No Reserve auction it would probably bring the 3K$.

That tank, or those bars do not suit that bike in my opinion, it looks like they are missing in this profile shot. Is it a factory spec model?

As for the jacket, I personally think forums such as these create whimsical ideas of pricing in sellers heads.

I think it's a set of clubman bars or maybe clip ons...id have relocated the instrument cluster myself to totally chop the head off the front end.
