I have recently picked up a few older Borsalinos, unfortunately I don't love them. I would like to sell them but I don't know how to distinguish the material of the hat - Beaver, fur etc. I would appreciate any insight.

It’s part of the Augusta line and not a style favored by most. All the Augusta hats I’ve seen have been oddly styled and proportioned. It’s not beaver, but I don’t know if it’s all rabbit or a rabbit and hare blend. These typically don’t sell for much, but you never know. Good luck.

Thanks - it’s a very odd hat. Have you seen. Borsalino Linea Donna, another odd hat? I want to sell some of my bad choices so I don’t feel guilty buying a new hat in Rome.
