Hello folks,

I recently purchased a BR B-15C from a private seller, but as I'm waiting for it to ship, I'm noticing a difference in the seller's measurements vs. the website's. I was wondering if anyone here owns one and can comment on how true to the BR website measurements they are.

It's also completely possible the seller did not measure properly, so I've attached some photos. Based on what I can tell it looks like a 23" P2P, 18" shoulder, and 24" length. Meanwhile from the website: 25.5" P2P, 20.9" shoulder, 26.4" length.

Photo 1: I basically drew two lines and duplicated them, shifting them to the ruler to get an approximate measure, obviously this will have some error but should give me a general idea.

Photo 2: The tag's close up, looks identical to the one on the BR website.

Maybe it is just too early in the morning here (the sun isn't up yet), but I have no idea what the p2p "measurement" is supposed to be.

Yesterday, I asked a seller for a photo measurement of pit to pit, below was what I got and he estimated it to be a “medium.” If I were to lay it completely flat and measure it myself from the actual armpits, I’d probably get closer to 21”. As you can see, different people measure pit to pit differently so just wait for your jacket to arrive.

How do you do a proper one? Like the below:

Pit to Pit.... though I'm old enough and marked enough student dissertations on it hen it was the topic du jour to still think first of "peer to peer" file sharing. Napster, GRokster, those days!

Well if it’s as big as the website’s measurements look to be, this may end up on classifieds .

The chest measurement on a B-15 is supposed to be big. It's one of the best examples of how relying on TFL's PTP fixation can get you the wrong jacket size.

Check HPA's size guide for the item.

Oh wow they recommend a chest measure 8"-10" larger than your measured chest. Makes sense why it's so big for a 42 since the padding between inner/outer is so great.

Learning a lot here!

There is only one way to properly measure a p2p. In the first image, the jacket isn't even zipped. Major mistake which leads to major errors.
