I haven't read the book, and this series seems to have driven the book price up. But the Hulu series, directed by George Clooney, is very well done. The senselessness of war bureaucracy and red tape. the power grabs, its mazing to watch. Filled with great performances.

I was never a fan of the book (which I read twice because of its huge reputation) but the novel is way funnier and far more absurd and energetic than this adaptation which feels a bit dour. Having said that it is highly watchable and pretty well filmed but ultimately forgettable. I have seen 4 parts and will probably not continue, not because it is bad but because I don't feel it has much more to give me.
