I think it is not the quality of March Chevalier's or Sharpetoys-where you can see the weaves only in closeup photos, not form a distance.
it is also typical that the nice vintage panamas were almost always Optimos on e-bay during the last year or so.
However it seems to be nicely woven.
And a few dollars for a panama hat is never wrong.
The only question - why do sellers on e-bay use instant 1 USD cameras for making their product photos?
Is it an unwritten rule?:rage:

I'd bet it is a Cuenca. You can only see 4-5 vueltas in the top of the crown. A low dollar Montecristi has 6-7-8 or so, so a hat with this weave should have 10+ vueltas easy.

I don't see how you could have gone wrong on that one. It looks great.
Maybe not the finest weave, but definitely no slouch as panamas go.
