I can still recall cigarettes being advertised on TV.

"Call for Phillip Morris", "LS/MFT - Lucky Strick means Fine Tobacco"

"Winston tastes good like a (bop bop) cigarette should!" (Advertised by Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble of all things!)

Where's the Beef????

My favorites are the Wendy's commercials from the '80s. In addition to the ones that featured Clara Peller and her famous tagline, "Where's the Beef?", They also did a really hilarious commercial depicting a Soviet/Russian fashion show populated with stereotypically stodgy Russian types, with one plus sized model on the runway attired in Russian tractor/tank factory worker garb modeling "daywear" (a sledge hammer) and "swimwear" (a beach ball), among others

The same company who did the Wendy's commercials also did a number of commercials for FedEx including one featuring a CEO addressing the annual company meeting where he says, "You've all done a great job this year -- EXCEPT FOR CRAWLER!" "Cruller, sir," an aide whispers. "EXCEPT CRULLER! THAT PACKAGE YOU SENT NEVER GOT THERE!"
