Do you ride a motorcycle?

With all the talk we regularly have about leather jackets being protective and "armour", I wondered how many of us actually need leather because we ride motorcycles, and what people ride.

No shade if you don't, obv, because leather is cool whatever. But anyway.

I do ride, and currently have an old Triumph Bonneville and a newer KTM RC 390.

45 K's north, near 100 K's round trip.
Leather jacket required (WJAYWT).
25C top with early seabreeze.
Quiet beaches today, few days back 39C and the beaches were heaving.

I had one like the one you have pictured above but in 210 cc and tuned, had to be ready to pull the clutch in if it seized suddenly. Top speed about 75 mph

That's pretty warm indeed, but I like the heat. Although 51C was pushing it when we rode through Death Valley in July of 2024.
