Doubts about authenticity of Real McCoy's Buco J100.

Hello guys, I recently acquired the Rmc buco j100 Black Core that I had been looking for for a long time, I found it on buyee and made my first purchase there.

When I opened the box and looked at the jacket, the first thing that caught my attention was the absolute lack of smell of the leather. I had never had shinki in my hands but from what I could see it has a very strong and characteristic smell, but this one did not smell. nothing at all, is this normal? Can a leather of this caliber lose its smell completely?
It occurs to me that they could have removed the smell using some type of product, but I have no idea, this is the point that has made me doubt the most, on the other hand it looks like real leather, the texture is a little rough too, more than my Badalassi and my ELMC.

The next point is the shoulder measurement, which is much smaller than usual for this size, 43.5 cm, when you run it could measure 48 cm if I'm not mistaken in size 40.

On the other hand, I see the inverted "V" of the zipper opening as shorter than usual, in other models that I have seen online it is always longer.

Then from what I have been able to verify, it is the BJ9110 model, due to details such as the fact that on the main zipper it says Talon in the old model and Mccoys in the new one, although I am not 100% sure that this is the old model, but I think yes, could someone confirm it?
The fact is that the seller has also sent me the label in which it indicates that it is the model BJ19110 030 (teacore) which is incorrect, because this model is 031 (Black Core) as can be seen in the color of the strips of the zippers.

Finally I see that it has the Real Mccoys label on the pocket and the Buco button so my confusion increases even more, but what has surprised me the most is the total lack of aroma of the leather.

I appreciate your opinion!

Thank you.

Most of my jackets have lost their leather smell after about a year, the shinki ones included.

Everything about it looks correct to me...

https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/the-real-mccoy’s-j-100-fit-comparison-between-the-old-model-bj9110-and-new-model-bj19110.112875/

If the jacket has been worn and spent a few years in a closet i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't smell anymore...
Mine has lost it's leather smell.
In its whole? It also has a slightly plastic feel, but I think I've read before that this is common in this product.
Thanks for your answer.

The stitching quality and leather looks similar to other RMC jackets I've handled but it's hard to say just through pictures.

I own the old version of the J24 that I bought new and unworn and it had and still has only a faint leather smell. I also owned an A2 that I bought in mint condition that did not smell either

Looks perfectly fine. That's exactly the kind of leather I've seen most of these being made of. Smell goes away quickly. You're good.

I have four or five Shinki horsehide jackets and none of them smell like leather anymore. A couple of them had no odor even when they were brand new.

Thanks guys! I have understood well that the smell can disappear completely, I am still very new in this world, it was one of my main concerns. My Aero Badalassi and my HH from ELMC have an incredible smell, but of course they are quite new... I guess it will fade over time.

What continues to surprise me is the difference of 4.5 cm in the length of the shoulders, it seems like a lot to me, and this model specifically is characterized by having quite a bit of width in the shoulders.
On the other hand, the inverted V at the end of the front zipper is the shortest I have seen so far, but that is already the result of the factory OCD that I have... jajaja

Its real. BJ9110 was the previous fit model, white inside pocket. Current fit 19110 has black pockets.
Also I believe 9110 is brown underneath. The black through model is 13xxx something like that (five digit number) I don't quite remember.
9110 fits very slim. I had one in size 42, could easily go up one or two sizes.
All the hardware checks out. I mean there is still 0.5% chance it could be a copy but that's a lot of hoops to jump through for a copy jacket.
My also didn't have that Shinki smell. But my current RMC jackets all have that smell still. I prefer it no smell actually. The pungent tannin smell becomes a bit too much inside the cabin of a small car...

Thanks for the very detailed answer. For the checks I have done, I also think it is the previous model BJ9110. If it is a fake it would be too well done, I don't really believe it anyway Tom from RMC London has told me that he has passed my query on to his colleagues in Japan and will soon give me an answer as well.
I have been able to verify that this model is much tighter than my other two CRs, it looks more or less like you in the photos you have published, but it does not feel uncomfortable, the leather is still quite rigid, I will have to break it in. By the way, I'm going to share some photos of the fit to see what you think guys.

Looks good on you. Congrats.
And yes RMC after sales customer service isn't great. But that's just how it is especially their oversea partners. There isn't much in it for them to spend the time on a jacket that they didn't profit from. I can understand that.
There are different RMC J100s. There are color leather ones, steerhides, dyed through black horsehides. But I am quite certain if your jacket is the BJ9110 its the brown tone underneath. And the top coat is quite good and it won't fade fast. There are fast fading versions too but I don't think yours is, those would still have the old long model numbers.
