I did get this a couple of months ago.
Oh the colors and the pattern are perfection! *Swoon*
deadpandiva, please post pics of you in your dresses!
what a great thread!
what a lovely thread, Cherry Lips!!
I adore green but sadly can't really wear it very well near my face, so I keep it to skirts, shoes and accessories. Love to look at it though!
This one is a bit of an object lesson on how not to do your makeup. Those brows!
only the fabulous Bettie Davis can pull that off. She found a look and stuck with it. She's my idol!
her lips look kerazy.
I agree. Those are her signature Bette lips she started wearing in the 40s. She could put them on without a mirror! I love her choice of lipstick color (reminds me of MACs Lady Danger) to complement the green shirt. I like mature women in make-up, especially if they're divas! <3
Here's a younger Bette with the same lips:
It's funny I've always thought she looked much prettier in the 30's and while not wearing what became her signature look.
On the other hand as she grew older she became more expressive, and in that sense the bolder/stronger/more dramatic look of the 40's suited better the personality she projected.
The Bette Davis lips are definitely a trademark, once couldn't imagine her today in any other way.
I like how the polka dots have somehow clustered together beneath Lucille's décolletage!
Not a dress, but:
These are my dishes, that happen to match the trim on my house, my kitchen floor, my Subaru, and, oh, my favorite purse and jacket. And the inside of our hot tub.
Not vintage, but last year at prom I was going through a green phase.....
Post a pic!
I thought I did?
