New Wesco waxed flesh at Standard and Strange

I just priced a pair of stock boss boots at alcaras at 589$. Wesco has the same boot for 489. Anybody have any idea what the deal is there? Ive never shopped through alcaras, but it seems odd theyd have a product listed that far over msrp. Wesco is a 15 week wait, but i work hard for my money, i have boots to wear and i can wait if this is just what alcara does.

First I've heard about that. Perhaps a knock-on effect from Covid lockdown last spring and possibly cases among tannery workers throughout 2020?

Nope, it's 7.5E, but my high instep makes it more difficult to get on than I'd like. I'm sure it'll get easier with time, but they sure feel great once on the feet.

I bought a pair of 9.5s in March from Charles. After the Engineers I asked about the Carpenters but was told Lone Wolf was stopping export to the US entirely. What a damn shame.
