This beautiful jacket from the 1944 fiscal year (contract N288S 24369) is a generous size 40, fitting like a 42. The goatskin has a great aged patina with no holes or repairs, just some surface wear. The mouton collar shows some wear without balding. The waistband is original and does have some moth nips, some of which have been repaired. The Talon zipper is a NOS replacement, although the puller was on the original replaced Talon zip and runs smoothly. The wristlets are also replacements, but the waistband is original. The lining has been repaired by the hanger. I have several naval jackets and am running out of space at home!
Measurements: armpit to armpit: 23", across the shoudlers:20" sleeve (from shoulder to end of knit):25", down the back from base of collar to bottom of waistband:25.5" down the front: 23.5".
