1950 Borsalino

Flash Gordon,

I am curious about how you date the second Borsalino to precisely 1950.

I do have a Borsalino of this kind (with the corrugated sweat, produced for the US-market) myself, but am unsure about it's year of production. Therefore, I would gladly learn from you.

I learned it here. There's a code that Borsalino uses to date their hats. The first two numbers of that code tells the year. The code on this hat starts with "50", hence 1950. (If it's 1850, then I've REALLY got something!)

Unfortunately that code only works on borsalinos from the '70s and newer.
