I have an entire motorcycle police suit made by this maker, Vanek, in gray. The jacket is exactly the same, except that the pockets have flaps and there is a badge holder underneath. This is a civilian version.
The seller is full of it. This is a 70's jacket, maybe late 60's but I wouldn't even bet on that. And it doesn't says anywhere that it's horsehide. Definitely not Luftwaffe, in any case.
Regardless, it's among the nicest, best made, best fitting leather garments I've ever owned. The whole thing is seriously just so impressive... I'd have posted it here but being European and by a virtually unknown maker, I don't think it'd be of any interest. It's definitely worth the price this jacket got but it's a shame people gotta make up crap about it being Luftwaffe and whatnot, instead of just listing it for what it is.
