flattening the brim on an OR?

Finally got me one and the brim rolled up a mite in shipping... I have been resting her on the brim inverted and letting gravity have her perfect work, but it is still a bit more rolled up on the sides than I care for. I like the turned up brim and the 'cattleman bash', but would prefer the hat to be a bit flatter in brim profile. Maybe I just re-enacted too long, but I like a slouch hat or beehive which IMHO the OR is a modernized version of.

BTW, people keep saying I look like a TX Ranger with it on, which I take as a compliment. You see TX was founded by a bunch of bored Tennesseeans.

Steam or wet the brim and set it flat under the books. That should remedy it.
