Danish bluegrass...interesting. It doesn't get much better than Flat and Scruggs except maybe for Mr. Bill Monroe. As he said sometime in the 60's "[Flat and Scrugs] would have dug a whole lot of furrows if not for me"

Flat and Scruggs were members of Bill's band, The Bluegrass Boys. They left his employment and started their own group. Bill took this very personal...it was years before he would even speak to them. Bill in fact did his best to keep them off the opry...if they play I'll quit. This behavior was repeated with everyone who left his band...Jimmy Martin, Mac Wiseman. It was a well known fact that Bill can and would hold a grudge. Got to see him play once, around 1990. He could still dance a jig.
