These go together incredibly well! Wear confidently!
I tend to wear my leather boots with cloth jackets, and my leather jackets with anything but engineer boots...
It will stay where it is. When I made that post, I didn't realize that it was an established thread. Should have known that, but just wasn't paying attention. That is what you guys are for—to keep me from making mistakes.
Since we are on the topic of matching
I have a rule: if I look at myself in the mirror and I like the combination, then it's fine. That doesn't mean that others like it too or that it follows stylistic rules
Matching colours makes sense but same exact leather between jacket and boots imho is a bit heavy and I’d rather mix it up. I can’t see though a tan leather jacket working well with shiny black boots for instance.
I did start this thread because I needed advice on what shoes to get that would fit the jackets, I am currently at this stage
Western boots with 70s jacket
I would say that very different hides are also a way to avoid being too matched, what do you guys think?
Green and vintage black from Brass Tokyo
I think the roam trainers from Brass Tokyo are also a good option, the colour on these was my custom choice
A mix of browns here, these are the Kadoya riding chelsea
Damn your thedi looks cool. So does the east west, and all the others. All great outfits!
I think the burgundy of the east west would also look great with a pair of black boots.
I actually have a pair of Dayton service boots in pull-up cordo that perfectly match the jacket, though I’ve never worn them together.
^^ starting to really like cordovan. That is great looking color
...but I'll never look this cool
What about black and burgundy?
These at least have a nice shape but there is a whole world of ones that look like they've been shaped around a shovel.
I mean, what the hell is even that!
Yes, indeed and is also very variable, showing a nice range of tones, depending on light.
What would this one have been shaped around?
(Il Micio, Firenze)
Maybe an Ostrich’s foot.
Yes, I see your highwayman here a lot and it's just nice. Great to see something other than your browns/black jackets
I certainly think so.
That's a killer color and perfect fit on you! need me some cordovan lol
