For sale today there are two excellent examples of Italian hats with short-haired felt finishing
Barbisio size 5 or 57 cm. or 7 1/8 US
The hat is used in excellent condition, without any anomaly inside and outside.
The color of the felt is "Daino" and the short-haired finish is "Talpa".
Barbisio produced this type of finish on a consistent and well malleable felt from the 1950s.
The ribbon and the trim on the brims are in a contrasting color with the felt. Very nice the combination.
The hat measures are as follows: the trimmed brims are at 5 cm. the ribbon is 3 cm. and the crown is, at its lowest point, 10.5 cm
