Since the brims on these hats are notoriously floppy I trimmed the brim down to 2 1/4" which helped eliminate some of the floppiness; I also reshaped the crown into a teardrop crease and there is now only a slight taper. I used a hatshaper from hatshapers.com to do this. The color is "Sage". Looks more brown in the pics than it really is. Sage is a dark grey with a slightly greenish hue to it.
