Brüder Böhm from Austria Wien in black. Sold by Joh. Weenink in Varsseveld the Netherlands. I like the sharkgills on the ribbon. Great proportions on this hat. Nice thick felt. Nice catch!

Marcel, This is a really great find and a real beauty! It had a Crown Patch. If it's post WWII it's very early after B.B. started up production in Wien. I will have to do some investigating.

I believe this one is Austrian. I have see the water-resistant crown patch in other photos. But never with a manufacturer identified. Might anyone (@mayserwegener ?) have any ideas?

Jeff, "Réf". "Coul.", and Entrée on the paper label are French. There is a Bergdorf in Switzerland. I couldn't find anything on Karl Kobel Bergdorf. I will do some more checking. Where did you find it?

P. & C. Habig Wein, fresh out of the box from Goodwill - $40 all in. This is my first hat from this maker, and I like it. What do you guys think?

Next up: Google "How to clean a hat from Goodwill" lol

Looks great! I would give the Velour a good vacuum and then steam and brush it with the the Nap. A stronger bristle brush might be helpful and finish with a softer brush. You can clean and condition the Sweatband with "Bick 4 Leather Conditioner". Liners are more difficult. I would lightly vacuum and clean the plastic Tip protector with distilled water. Can you post a photo of paper label behind the Sweatband?

Of course, and thank you - I had forgotten to get that one. :)

C. G. Wilke "Haar Special", 57 cm, Fur Felt, 150 grams, possibly 1930s. This is the finest C. G. Wilke Guben Stiff Felt I have come across and it's in excellent condition. The Black Felt has a very nice smooth finish. The one inch Band works really well with the sharp looking Bow design. All the Components are of high quality with the Sweatband being exceptional. Overall great workmanship.

The Off White Reeded Piping creates a pleasing contrast with the Light Brown Sweatband.

Dobesch Wien "Novo", 58 cm, possibly mid to late 1950s. Dobesch Wien are not so common and are of high quality so I was very much happy to find this Homburg. The Brown (shade very much changes based on light source) Felt has a well executed Finish and is pliable but i kept the small front Side Dents. This is how Homburgs were often worn in Germany and Austria. Its wider Brim and taller Crown makes it really stand out. The seller was from Germany but there is no store / shop marks so possibly purchased at one of Dobesch's retail outlets in Vienna.
