Got a pair of A-1 flight trousers

I was not able to find much info about them so perhaps they are rather rare. They look like being lined on the inside with sheepskin while the outer shell is made of a different leather type.

They are pre-War issue. The typical pair you see during WWII were the A-3.
Yes, you're right, they mated HH over the sheepskin. The thought was they would be more durable that sheepskin. Very costly and subsequently passed over for the A-3 contracts.
Should have the rare '30's brass talon zips.... Nice score. Last pair I saw sold on Ebay was a couple years back.
