Well...being a guy who makes his living making things out of wood...and an avid hat wearer/lover I am always intrigued by hat products especially those made of wood.

I have what I believe to be the ultimate hat stand/stretcher and that being the Jack Stand from the Penman Hat Company. http://www.penmanhats.com

This thing ROCKS! It is an ingenious device. It will retain your hat shape and due to the mechanism it will not ever stretch the hat and the best thing about it is once you set it for your hat....its done. Set it and forget it! You simple set it to your hat...tighten by hand the locking screws and after a long day of sweating in your hat...or a rain day you just put it in and flip the lever and let it dry.

It has a nice degree of taper around it so it fits nice against the sweat band and I can see the edge is finished in such a way that it has vertical micro grooves in it to help in the drying out of a sweaty or wet sweat band. It is made of cherry and should last a life time. The legs on it put the hat high enough to keep the brim off of where ever you put it and when the hat is on it...it looks like it is just floating. Not bulky at all.

I don't think you can get much better in a hat stretcher.
