It's been over a week....I hope you're feeling better......Will measure them later today. (Home nursing a nasty head cold.)
I got a guy in NYC (Staten Island) who'll copy any trousers alive for $95.....plus material.I got a great tip on a tailor in London who'll copy vintage trousers for £35.
I got a great tip on a tailor in London who'll copy vintage trousers for £35. i had him make me some linen trousers last summer to a fishtail British 1930s pattern (copied a pair of Co-Op suit trousers from '35 or so), and he did a truly oustanding job. Sooo …
I've sourced some 14 Oz grey flannel and am having him copy a pair of original Oxford Bag style trousers. He's really good at copying complex waistbands so the side cinch belts should not prove a problem. I am also planning to try im out on copying a pair of 1930s British knickerbockers to go with a glen plaid suit jacket i'm having made by yet another London tailor. Since I don't own any of said 'bockers, i'll need to borrow some from a friend, but that won't be an issue.
I'll report here on the flannels.

I love the look of the Cagney suit from Magnoli. I am very tempted but would like some input on their stuff before commiting
