The days in the 2009 calendar will be the same as 1903, 1914, 1925, 1931, 1942, 1953, 1959, 1970, 1981, 1987, 1998. http://www.vpcalendar.net/3_Columns/Calendar_4.html

But 2008 wasn't 1930, because of leap years. It was 1924. Golden Era years in 2010 will be 1926, 1937, and 1943. (Are the 20s considered part of the "Golden Era"?) Click on the year in this chart and it will show you what years will have the same calendars. http://www.vpcalendar.net/20th_21st.html

But try to find a calendar for either one! Funny as it is, I've been googling it all over the place and could only find a couple 1931 calendars. One is the image I posted, but it's sold, for something like $245! The other is a repro on eBay. Repro is ok, cuz I need to write things on my calendar, but that one has a dark red calendar.

How fun! Thanks for sharing the site. It would be neat to hang up a (repro, of course) 1931 or 1942 calendar. I think I'll be trawling the Internet for some possibilities.

Let me know if you find something, I'll do likewise. As I said in my other post, I couldn't find much. A friend suggested starting a biz by designing my own using public domain pictures and having calendars printed up. Not a bad idea. I liked my 2008 calendar of Historical Seattle that was made using photos from Seattle Municipal archives and UW digital library of the 20s-40s, but they didn't do one for 2009. Closest I could find was one of "Vanishing Seattle" that showed landmarks of the 50s-70s, not quite what I was looking for.

Graet Idea!

I searched 2009 Vintage Calendar and found that Asgard Press prints a large number of calendars with vintage themes, mostly tied to collegiate sports. I didn't find any that were tied to specific years rather than events. What a unique calendar(s) that would be!

Finding this thread is rather odd, as just yesterday I found an old calendar I got as a Christmas present back in the early 1970's. The dates in whatever year it was (can't remember exactly when I got the thing, but I was still in high school so it was pre-1974) coincided with 1924 (the year my mom and dad were born). The calendar had an old Remington advertisement and looked really good. It's all torn and faded now, and looks like it's from 1924.

Funny thing is, the reproduction vintage calendar is almost vintage itself now. [huh]
