Probably a million ways to make it BB, but the meats I use are chuck roast, pork roast (picnic roast), country bacon & some fatback. Always better the second or third day, & freezes well in quart Mason jars.

Dark brewed coffee, splash of 1/2 and half with a stick of cinnamon was my morning coffee grab. The cool weather found me sport'n a wool cap and some deer skin gloves.

This was taken at Knobs and Knockers German Biergarten in Old Sacramento. I could not even try to pronounce the name of the beer I had. Good though![IMG]

Place looks empty. He might get more business if he got a few more knockers in there!

I stole that from an old joke about a barkeep who kept a Cockatoo on a perch in the corner. You can figure the rest out.

I sent that joke to Bob once since he was the Birdman & never had any business.

Beer breakfast - because. A malty dopplebock infused with flavors that give the scent of a toasted butterfinger. Light scent and not sweet - great breakfast beer. I left the beer outside on the deck for many hours to get icy cold - excellent.

Was out picking up the last Holiday provisions this morning. Home and having a pickled herring and onions on slices of homemade Swedish Rye (in pic) and a glass of beer. Love being in charge of my own time and having choice.

Merry Christmas Eric. The dopplebock sounds like a delicious treat! The pickled herring...not so much. I'll be making an errand run including to the liquor store soon, before everything starts to close early.

All you can eat BBQ ribs night. They bring them out a half-slab at a time. My best days must be behind me because I could only eat a full slab & a half, plus corn on the cob, fries, a cornbread muffin, & 40 oz of beer!
