Hemp straw

I'm looking at straw hats. Most of the Milans and Panamas are not to be worn in the rain. Rather than risk one of those hats I'm looking at the Akubra Balmoral for every day summer use with rain once in awhile. I was wondering how this hemp might hold up under this type of use. Thanks in advance.

Don't know about Akubra Balmoral. You might google Sunbody hats. They aren't very "dressy" but they will take rain with no problem.
