HAs anyone here ever thought of getting together and starting a small pool to buy and preserve items from the period. Like suits, hats glasses whatever? I recently saw a jacket with an NRA label and its cheap, some minor mothing and thought thats way too small for me but I was thinking of buying it to save it form the ash can. What do you think?

I thought that thought....

I had envisioned a kind of 'Golden Era' exchange (a GEX!! as it were!), where others who purchase items or inherit items that might not work in their own wardrobe could make them available through the GEX so that others could avail themselves of them.

The dynamics of the operation might need some deeper consideration, but the concept deserves some thought and discussion.

Let's kick it around some.
