We just saw I, ROBOT with Will Smith. Pretty good science fiction, set in Chicago in the year 2035. Interesting scenes of the city with the old buildings mixed with modern futuristic additons.
Premis of the movie has to do with robots who serve man, under three laws: basically they cannot hurt humans, they cannot hurt others, and they can only protect themselves to the extent that they don't go against the first two laws.
Well, just like in ROBOCOP, the machines go wrong, and it is up to Will Smith to find out why.
Entertaining, somewhat predictable plot, but excellent special effects.
I would have liked them to have developed the plot a bit more in depth to be a bit more complicated with the moral issues.
Still, I give it a solid **** stars! out of 5.
