I tried on an Aero Highwayman

I was super excited to find a Highwayman in a 40 local to me on Ebay. I met up with the owner and tried it on but found it very tight. I usually wear a 44 in my Eastman/Goodwear shearling jackets. Is this Highwayman a stock size or should I be looking for a 42?

Kind of hard to tell Corey, since the listing does not provide dimensions. Might consider getting measured. I have one listed currently in our classifieds here (and on ebay) and the dimensions for it are as follows:
Tag size of 40, these Highwayman's have always run large, this fits like a 44 Long:
Pit to Pit: 23.5"
Shoulders: 19"
Sleeve Straight: 25.5"
Sleeve Around: 27"
Torso Length (Down the zipper form the bottom of collar): 22"
Back Length from bottom of collar to hem: 26"

Oops, I missed the tape measure in the photos. Yes those do look snug for a marked size 40.

I wear 44 in Eastman shearlings as well, and my Highwayman is a 42. The Highwayman is one of Aero's 50s cuts, which are generally roomy up top. My Highwayman fits like a trim 44, I can layer a thin sweater under it but no more.
