Identifying early hats by sweatband: A Guide

One of the more expert folks may correct me, but I think the hat is much older than the box. The Stetson logo pre-1950 (or so) had a field of stars in the upper left part of the shield.

Sadly, your head rarely shrinks. What size are you?

loose 7-3/8" and the hat is 7-1/8". That extra quarter kind of ruins it.
