Does anyone own both.
In very hot days can you wear oilskin? Its cotton. Does it breath as well as natural straw?

No, Oilskin hats are waterprrofed with oil just like oil skin dusters. Although they are cotton, the oil takes away much of the breathability. Straw is the best way to go if you want breathable
