Hello everyone,

I bought this off two pictures and no measurements. The seller was from California and had a bunch of 70s stuff. I am curious if anyone can help identify the maker. I thought it looked like a Cal but I am no expert. Added a few fit pics.

Beauty jacket! I think it's a Cal but I'm going solely on the belt loops. I recall reading that Cal belt loops have the snap on the bottom part whereas Al's are on top. Is there any mouton strip inside the sleeve lining near the cuff? I'll admit I'm no expert either so hopefully we can get some more info here.

It is a Cal. Not all Cals came with Mouton on the sleeves. I have seen plenty without them. The sleeve ends clearly a Cal. The belt loops and other construction methods points are from Cal. It appears the jacket has been relined or the Cal mouton collar is not original to this particular jacket. By the way, the jacket looks good on you.

Awesome thank you! Really excited about it. It's been sitting on depop for 10 weeks and I snagged it for a best offer of $90! It was tagged by the seller as Harley Jacket due to the patch.

I think this is honestly my grail jacket for the time being. Think there's an easy way to remove the patch? Or is it best to just leave it? It's sewed on.

The jacket appears to belong to a rider. Those zippers are tough. Unless you put it to work hard, they never fail. However, the replacement zipper is a quality one. That patch does not bother me. But it looks cleaner with no patches. Perhaps a bigger round police batch holder might cover the holes from the patch or perhaps the patch was placed there to cover the patch?
