I´m afraid I have to zombify this old thread. I just received my Freddies that I ordered in size 36 because I thought 34 wold be a bit to tight. (They had given all the measurements on the homepage where I ordered from). Turns out I lost a bit of weight since my order and a relaxed 34 would be fine by now. BUT the crotch is really saggy (like 5cm below were it was meant to be by mother nature ) and I wonder if that´s because of the bigger size or because of my anatomy? I really like it otherwise and would exchange it with a 34 if the crotch changes depending on the size. Any experiences on that?

I should not have clicked on that Freddies of Pinewood link because now I want a pair of those over-alls SO badly. My work uniform is jeans + gigantic polyster polo shirt + even more gigantic apron. I realized a couple of week ago two of my pairs of jeans were ready to fall apart so I went on a jeans buying expedition. Target is my new favorite pants place. They've introduced the six different fits and I can finally buy pants that are big enough in the hips and thighs and small enough in the waist. Well, I say waist, but the mid-rise barely cover my hip bones, lol. They're fit #4. I bought the same fit in black trousers months ago and they are beautiful.

Anyway, these are the most comfortable jeans I've ever owned and I just wanted to tell everyone about them. They do sell a "just below waist, wide leg" fit, but not in my size, so I don't know how they look. They might be vintage appropriate. (And as a side note, completely unrelated, but while I'm talking about my shopping excursion: there are spats everywhere right now. Forever 21, Target, Marshalls, TJ Maxx. I want some, but can't justify it.)

I've never bought anything from Freddie's, but I have had experiences with sagging crotches in larger sizes of jeans. I'd say it's a combination of both anatomy and the make of the clothes - Some clothes just have longer crotches than we do! However, I'm certain that if you exchanged for the 34 there would be an improvement.

Anyone know how the Freddies of Pinewood pedal pushers fit? I'm only 5'1, so I don't want them up around my armpits Also, I have a 24" waist, would that size come up larger?

Or if anyone could recommend some other 50s denim pedal pushers (preferably at not too high a price!), I'd be grateful.

I can't ever seem to find a pair of jeans to fit me 27 waist and 34 inseam. Its either one or the other to big in the waist or to long. Plus they tend to ride up (yikes!). So I stay away from jeans. I do wear pants but they are ladies dress pants with the elastic waist band boot cut style. they remind me of the 1940's pants I see from time to time on etsy. Plus these pants have wide pockets to and come in all sizes (petite just right for me). I bought a couple of these pants at K-mart a year ago and they are the best pants I ever wore.

There are two fairly recent threads on jeans, so I'm choosing this one.

I've been coveting the various 1940s style jeans I keep seeing on various UK sites. I just searched on a lot of US sites, and I cannot find anything like what the UK gals get to have fun in.

There are a few etsy stores that have similar jeans, time machine vintage & ****edudee are 2 etsy stores off the top of my head, but why don't you just buy them from Vivien of Holloway? 45 quid isn't too bad a price.

If they don't fit, a return across the USA and then across the ocean is a lot more expensive than a return just in the USA. I feel like I'm taking a big chance with fit going online anyway, but there are just none of these in stores where I am.
