JT, remember the Knox 40 that I rebashed into a pork? Just messin' around when you did your Buster Keaton lid?

Well, when I steamed my fed. the other day I thought I'd clean up the edges & give it a nice clean look. It turned out fairly well.

Here's a before and after shot......

notice how the edges are rough, etc....

Here's the after, edges nice and clean, tight.....

The crown on this hat (open) is over 5", it is now about 3 1/4"

This felt is so amazing to work with, it's hard to describe. It really holds it's shape well, even without steam. It is super soft as well.

When I 1st got this hat, I wasn't too excited because of such a high crown. No matter what I did with it, I just didn't like the way it looked on me, now....it is by far 1 of my favorite hats, for sure.

I wanna say thanks to JT and also Matt Deckard for his Sticky thread on hat creases, if not for them....I would not have the confidence to even try such a thing. ;)

That is a very nice job!

I almost bought a Stetson Soverign Saxon bashed like that today. & 5/8 isn't that easy to find. I finally decided to pass. It just looked silly on me. But, I amy go back.
