Very nice photo- looks "vintage" & the moody look makes it seem real.
Well, seeing as the last time I posted a picture, the whole forum crashed a day later rolleyes: ), and it did not come back, making me scared for future endeavors,I'll try again with hopefully a not so horrific entry.
Well I see why!!
aww...thanks! hope you both feel better.
This was taken after I stuffed my face at a local restaurant.
Argument time, O lovely young LadyStardust: the board didn't crash because of that very lovely picture you last posted, nor will it from this one. (Seems MK's web-guy FUBARed and they had to rebuild the database--so no way in heck was it your fault.)
This old rattler for one would be delighted to see more pics from you...
@PositivelyPinup: Not sure what to say, so just put me down for "ditto what the last guy said."
lots of beautiful women on this forum i see...
(Not that we don't love hats, of course....)
That's why we're here!!!!
whatever you ate, it agreed with ya!
Those colors are amazing! Is that vintage stuff you're wearing?
Lady Stardust, if you're not as cute as a bugs ear! I suspect the crash, if attributed to your picture at all, was more from the traffic jam it created than from any other reason
LadyStardust, those are beautiful shoes! When are they from?
You just gotta love those Carolina girls ...
Nice, very nice.
WE so are not....although obviously I do feel it's important to remind you that you're older than me...until Friday!!
And to prove it....
OK, OK, I just wanted to show off my new skirt! lol
Look, it's really fab!
(I need to get a decent flash, methinks......
....for the camera!)
You look Fabulous GOK, and I really do like you skirt
frijoli, LocktownDog,Diamonback, pgoat, freebird, Big Man- You are just as sweet as sugar, and I'll have you know I turned about 10 shades of purple from such sweet comments.
Diamonback- Looks like I goofed on trying to communicate again. I know it wasn't that way in reality, but the crash of the forum happened just so, that rock bottom self-esteem part of me still harbored the thought that "Gosh, maybe I AM that horrific! " And so, I haven't dared since then until now, and I was still apprehensive about doing so, because I simply can't hold a candle to the other ladies who post their pictures. I want mainly to put a face with the name.
pgoat- All vintage 1940's, save for the shoes. They are actually mix and match, as the jacket has a skirt counterpart to complete a suit, and the skirt is just by itself. I was just going through my vintage clothes and thought they might makes a good contrast. Thanks so much for the kind words.
CherryLips- Thanks! They are actually 100% modern, brand by the name of Mudd, I believe. Very reasonably priced, as far as I remember also.
Big Man- Thank you. I'm afraid though, I'm sorely lacking the Carolina accent. Maybe there's still time to acquire it?
GOK-! I don't know if I'd missed any other threads that you've been posting in, but it seems like you've been gone for a while. It's so great to see you back around again! And you look fabulous in your pictures!
You're welcome! The fabrics drape so nicely, and you were right on track; the colors really work together wonderfully on you- Good show!:eusa_clap
