My very first mechanical watch, Nivada, hand-wound, 17 jewels, 50+ years old.

Leather strap with extra cool cowboy application and rivets for the aspiring sandbox-rocker…:D

No worries. Not like the watches disappear with time. Fun to see yours again and the strap. Well done on the strap!

When I have more time, I'll have to look up how many autos I have purchased since I last posted on this thread. This one was from late '23. New strap recently from WOE, which I really like, has got me wearing it more often. Even with an 8" wrist I find the 43mm just too big. I pretty much max out at 40mm. Only reason I still own it is the accuracy. The most accurate mechanical watch I have ever owned. Legibility and its long power reserve (70hrs) is the other bit of charm with this one.

Received this as a present to myself. They don't seem to be popular but it is a great in house movement with Geneva seal. View attachment 760646
I LOVE the Quai de Lille(?)(excuse my french hehe), such an underrated watch and one I would go for myself if I ever get the pleasure to buy myself a VC, very nice mate!

I've been using my Casio F-91W(aka the terrorist watch) since I sold my Speedy and Citizen AQ-4020 this past fall, as I really fell out of the "watch game" for a while and felt the money would be better spent on leather jackets haha.

Out of nowhere I get a call from my lovely mother saying she found a watch in a random box, and lo and behold there it was, my first ever mechanical/"real watch" watch that I got as a 16y birthday present, and a watch I've been searching for years! really thought it was a goner but surprise surprise :D

The watch in question is a Seiko SKX009! which in my opinion at least, looks as good today as it did back then all those years ago when I first got it :) a classic for sure! I just need to get it to my watch guy/wizard for a check up as it runs to fast,

Enough rambling here are some pictures

I was so happy getting this one back that it really kickstarted my watch obsession again haha, so now I have 5 vintage watches on the way... my bank account wont be as happy...

Cheers!
