Thanks gents! personal favorite so far must be the Tärnan, that 3-9-12 "explorer dial" with small seconds just ticks all the boxes for me

Unfortunately you can’t appreciate the dial in this photo. Also, a bit too big for my wrist. Lovely watch nonetheless

I have a vintage mechanical (self-winding) Seiko Lady's Dive watch. It's small size and reduced weight I found welcome. Cost a bundle to have it refurbished, since movement was just plain worn out.

Attached a WW 2 vintage Berkeley stainless steel watch band to it. After some "try-and bend/adjust", became perfectly comfortable. Nowadays, not cheap. https://www.ebay.com/itm/389510258496?msockid=2267fbdd1ec76e75034aed2d1f376f1a

This band may not fit the "gap" on some watch cases for the wrist band. Inquire first; I'd be hesitant to modify (narrow) this expensive antique band. Nylon "NATO" wrist bands for some watches, esp if the original band is falling apart and no OEM and NIB replacement available. I figure better to remove failing band before it fails completely and use appropriate substitute.

Moving to more modern electronic watches, such as Casio Oceanus.

Don't know a lot about the brand. Keeps time well. Love the "lollypop" second hand. Does have small radium "dots" around the dial marking every five minutes/seconds. Do not wear often so do not keep up with the day numerator....
