Yes i saw this a few years ago. Interesting to see ordinary films by soldiers in the field.

The Germans were well aware of their behaviour in 1941 onwards in the East. This is why the biggest mass migration of Germans took place in late 1944 to early 1945. Many ordinary troops knew what was happening in the East (even Wermacht troops killed civilians) and they knew that once Stalingrad's 6th army was surrounded (Von Paulus) then Kursk in 1943, the writing was on the wall for them. The Third Reich was history.

Fundamentally, they were usually arrogant towards ordinary Russians and very often bestial. But a fascinating period.
