Since we all seem to love a parade, here are more color photos of a Feb. 23, 1940 rodeo parade in Tuscon, Arizona.

Note the 48 star flag. No spandex in those days! Lots of wrinkles and rumples!

It's the next best thing to being there. Especially the first shot of the rodeo parade and the first of the Polish parade. Reminds you that the past happened in COLOR...even tho the paint on those old houses in the Polish neighborhood was long faded, the trees were green and the sky blue. And it did rain in Arizona every so often, unless they were just hosing down the streets.

Oh, the Kress store in the Tucson pictures.lol I remember stories of that place. My grandmother had this little pig cookie jar she bought from Kress back in the early '30s. He was standing up wearing overalls.
