Great "Band"! I think Robbie Robertson is the only original member still with us.

A faculty advisor told me once, “It’s time, talent & drive that separate the men from the boys.” I add destiny to that. Talent alone doesn’t make it free. It still takes time & a lot of drive to reach what’s destined.

There's no overestimating the importance of The Band if you're a music lover. Besides their collective and individual output, they were an inflection point for "popular" music: there's what pop music sounded like before The Band .. and after.

This is ridiculous ... these guys could write, sing and play like crazy.

My, motto is time, talent and opportunity. All the talent in the world does not go far without the opportunity to perform. In other words, give people a chance, they will surprise you more often than you think.

Blows my mind. Of course I'm just a simple fellow who struggles playing a C chord right handed on a right handed instrument strung for a right hand player. To see one played left handed, upside down ain't right. Jimi did it, along with a few others. I know a singer songwriter in B'ham that does it.

Albert was a total monster and one of those players where you hear one note and know immediately it's him. Jimi didn't play "upside down" he was simply a lefty. I bet he could to a certain degree as lefty's get handed righty guitars strung normally all the time so they learn to deal ha.

We're super lucky to have Jef Lockhart in the area. He's a legend, a monster player, super sweet guy and plays upside down.

Ha! I didn’t even see that. I thought the guitar would give it away, even without the name on it.

OK Jack, I think this is a more difficult one. I certainly wouldn’t have got it, and I don’t think I’ve heard of the non-hat wearer on the right before.
